Chapter Two: Seriously!?

Star pulled her legs close to her chest and sobbed. She didn't know why she was so upset honestly. It was just one job that she was turned down for. ANother would arise eventually. Thats how the economy worked, right? It was the sting of rejection that made her face swell with tears. The rejection of her parents , the rejection of the job, the rejection of the hottest celebrity in all of Starlight Shores. She couldn't even do what she promised her parents she would do, become a star.
"No...you can't give in. Turn your head and ignore the noise. You can let them win, its your choice, but you'll never numb out the pain. Don't let them dictate..." Star sang Caleb's lyrics to herself. Music healed the wounds mother nature couldn't. According to SimsStar magazine, Caleb sang from personal experience. He was always the one being bullied, but he fought passed it. But, how could he be friends with someone as cold as Tim Levesque? Was it all part of the fame game? Was he getting ahead in his career by doing this?

Meanwhile, back at the Gray/Levesque household, Glenn Anarbor was not happy at all.

"What do you mean, you sent her away!?" Glen asked.

"We don't need her help. She looks like some crazy fan who's going to sell our secrets to the paparazzi. I don't understand why you think we need some girl to come and help us. We have a butler and everything. We don't need her help!" Tim said angrily.

"Woah, woah. Calm down. As your manager, I just thought that you'd like some cheap labor to help watch over your house while you were out. It's a big house, you should have both a cleaning lady and a butler..." Glen put his hands up defensively.

"As my manager, are you paying for this cleaning lady?"

"I mean..don't put words in my mouth..." Glenn said nervously.

"You cheap bastard. Unless you pay, I don't need her help."

"Enough!" Caleb said coming into the room. "Glenn, I have to agree with Tim even though he isn't going about it the right way. Our life in the spotlight is really vulnerable. Everyone is out to get us. People want to take advantage of our fame, unfortunately and so we have to be careful."

"I understand completely. It's up to you guys and if you're not comfortable with it I'm fine." Glenn spoke calmly to Caleb.

"We appreciate the thought, Glen."

Ignore the terrible quality!

Thanks to Caleb's encouraging lyrics, Star decided not to give up on her dreams. Did Caleb make it on his first try? No, he was bullied countlessly, but look at him now. She decided that this would be an interesting story to tell in interviews when she became a famous acrobat. Her next stop was city hall (you know, after she finished her tub of ice cream) to register herself as a self-employed acrobat.

Weeks passed, and though Star was making money, it was miniscule compared to what she needed to live. She had been surviving off of ramen noodles and sink water in a reusable bottle. She was fine with it because she got to preform. The only problem was that she bare;y got any gigs. Nobody wanted an amateur like her to preform for them, and if she did get a gig it was either volunteer or cheaply paid. She asked around but nobody had heard of Star Upton. She couldn't keep living like this and decided to get a steady paying job. An opening for a cleaning lady opened at Barney's Salon. They needed someone to come in during nights to clean up while the stylists finished up. It was a late night but it allowed her to continue her acrobat career.

Her first night on the job and Star already found herself with a mess on her hands. She was sweeping up the paper stencil left overs from the tattoo artist when a very drunk Tim Levesque waltzed into the room. She had heard that he was quite a party animal from the locals but seeing it for herself was something else.

"Hey...you're that lady...." He slurred. "Lady...I want a tattoo..!"

"Oh no sweetie, she just cleans up. I'll be doing the tattoo for you." A pretty brunette answered, walking into the room.

"Pshh, you want to clean up here instead of my house!?" Tim grabbed Star's hand.

"What do you want for your tattoo, sweetie?" The woman ignored the last remark and grabbed her book. "How about a cool dragon?"

"Wait, he's so drunk...can you do that?"

"Yupp." She smirked. "Law says as long as we're paid, it doesn't matter the state of the person. the only limitation is that they have to be an adult."

"Thats so conniving!" Star said, shocked.

"Shut up! I want you to tattoo Mya on my lower back..." Tim stuttered.

"Sure thing sweetie. Now, can you leave. maid?"

Star lowered her eyes but left the room anyway. Serves that jerk right  for screwing her over in the first place.

When everything was said and done, Tim came out and demanded that Star see his tattoo. "It's beautiful right?" He hiccuped. Star couldn't help but laugh. He became a child when he was drunk. An irritable angry little child, but still a child. Thats when Star hatched an idea. She couldn't stand the rude staff at Barney's Salon but she needed the money. What she really wanted, she could get through Tim. He was one of the hottest celebrities in town. With his influence she would be a famous acrobat in no time. Slowly, she pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of his back.

"I think you should put a shirt on and go home." She called him a taxi and made sure he got back home, with his shirt on. She couldn't have anyone seeing his tattoo, not yet anyway. She knew for a fact that the staff couldn't do anything about it because it was against the law to exploit their customers, especially someone as famous as Tim Levesque.

The next day, Star went back to Tim's house. She was contemplating her next move the entire night. She was so sure that she had wanted to blackmail Tim. But now, she wasn't feeling it. This wasn't who she really was. But as Tim opened his door she remembered how rude he was to her and she didn't feel so bad anymore. As he exited his apartment she posed the same way she did when they first met.

"Omg, it's Tim Levesque!" Star gushed.

"Oh jeez. Glen! Look what you did! I knew you'd come back. Listen, I'll give you anything you want just leave." Tim said, rather annoyed. "I've got a headache already."

Star smiled sweetly at him. "Anything you say?"

"No, forget it. You're just a greedy fan. Get out of here or I'll call the cops."

"Hmm, I mean you could call the cops, or you could hear me out. I have something you might want."

"No, you really don't," Tim said impatiently. "Are we done here?"

"Who's Mya?" Star grinned. All of her nervousness was lost as she watched Tim squirm.

Tim tensed up. "How do you know about her?"

"Your tattoo."

"What are you talking about?"

"The one you got last night on your lower back." She held out a picture. "And here is proof. If you don't want this to get out to the media then you better listen up and do as I say."

"You wouldn't..." He said in disbelief.

"Oh, I wouldn't if you weren't such a jerkwad. But you are and so here I am. Call the cops all you want, I took this picture in a public place with my own camera and so it's perfectly legal to do what I want with." Star crossed her arms.

He put a finger to his lips and motioned for her to silence. "Ok, we'll work something out. What do you want? Money? A date to your prom or something?"

"I want you to promote me as an acrobat. Go out and tell people to see me perform and to hire me. Thats all I ask."

"That's it?" He grinned. "That's easy. I'll do it right now. But then you have to burn the picture."

"Ok, looks like we're done here then." Tim held his hand out for the picture. "Not until I start seeing some results."

"You're a headache."

"Are you sure it wasn't all that alcohol you drank last night?" Star smirked before leaving a scowling Tim. She had him right where she wanted him and it felt so good.

  1. Ok I'm having mixed feelings about what Star is doing. Ok Tim is a jerk but that's not a good enough reason to resort to blackmail. He kind of deserves it but I think it's going to backfire on Star. I'm afraid she's becoming what she won't like; especially if someone does this to her when/if she becomes famous.

  2. Oh a Star, that's a slippery slope to climb on. You may lay a higher price than compromising your ideals in the long run. But I get why she did it, desperation makes us do funny old things and failure isn't an option for her.

  3. Wow Star! Using her head for some conniving activities. LOL. No offense. XD
Man, that staff really treated her badly, calling her a maid, that's mean, even if she is the one cleaning up the floors there's no reason to call someone that just to hurt their feelings. She did seem pretty desperate in the beginning, since no one had heard about her. These sorts of things take patience though, but I do wonder how much her blackmailing activity will help her...
